Robby Schremp, last game as an Oiler ?
Two questions to ask yourself as you sit down to watch tonights Oiler pre season tilt against the Tampa Bay Lightning (which is being played in Winnipeg) on TSN.
Question #1 - Has Schremp done enough to force the Oiler brass into making a roster spot available for him ?
Question #2 - Is tonights game going to be Schremp's last game in Oiler silks?
My answers are . . . . No, he hasn't done nearly enough to impress anyone, let alone the Oiler brass & Yes, tonight will be his last game as an Oiler
Schremp was given one last opportunity to save his career as an Oiler and had new coaches and a clean slate in which to do it. But, in true Robby Schremp fashion he has once again proven that he is a selfish, puck hogging, floating, shift extending, hot dog that has no place as a member of a team. Sorry Rob, I guess you should have taken up figure skating instead.
Tambelini is going to have to either find a trade partner for Schremp very quickly or place him on waivers and possibly watch him get picked off the wire by another team for nothing.
Lets see if Robby can pull off a miracle and save Tambelini from having to explain to the Oiler faithful why yet another high draft pick has been a total bust.
Good luck Robby and Steve, your both going to need it !
