The latest round of roster cuts were announced following the final pre-season game on Sunday vs the Vancouver Canucks.

The following players were sent back to the minor league system or will be placed on waivers . . .

Rob Schremp (Springfield AHL - Waivers)
Jordan Eberle (Regina WHL)
Kip Brennan (Springfield AHL)
Taylor Chorney (Springfield AHL)
Devan Dubnyk (Springfield AHL)

None of these assignments come as any surprise, just due to the sheer number game.

Eberle is still very young and will benefit from atleast one more year in junior, this kid has a very bright NHL future ahead of him.

Schremp's placement on waivers comes as absolutely no surprise to anyone who has been watching his career (objectively) tailspin out of control for the past few years. For Rob's sake I for one hope that he gets picked up off of the waiver wire so that the Oil can rid themselves of the Schremp sideshow and Oil fans can get over the loss of another high draft pick.
